happy 8 years.

FAMILY, MARRIAGE, MOTHERHOOD

Even today. A day that we find out that Blythe has a staph infection which requires excessive hot baths, ointments, and antibiotics (not to mention the glorious job of popping puss pockets on her butt cheeks), when dirty laundry seems never-ending, and our exhaustion seems resolute, yes, even today, Mark, I’m grateful to be yours (and theirs). I suppose “happy” is relative. But, I am –especially these 8 years with you. Even today. Happy anniversary, Love.

  1. Bethany, looked at the backyard pictures with the chicken coup and was in a time machine for a moment. Except for the coup it could be the Leafwood backyard. I was sure I saw Jordon, Bethany, all of you and realized it was the next generation. Blessed my socks off. Love Cathy

  2. Many more blessed years for you both. I can testify (after 33 years) that in the Lord it only keeps getting better.

  3. Congratulations friends! Lots of love from us to you. Rachel

  4. Congrats guys! The 19th is my parents anniversay too, it ws 30 years for them. Yall are an incouragement to all of those in your lives.

  5. mike seaver has been helping families through “growing pains” since 1985. a sage. a sage, i tell you.

thanks, bethany. i like being married to you, too. remember two nights ago when the dishwasher shut off and the house was stone-cold silent for a few minutes as we sat at the table? that was AMAZING. keep telling me, more quiet is just around the corner and i’ll start to believe you.

all my love, all my life —
    mark (logged in as bethany)

  6. y’all should stay married a long dang time.

my wife just bought that kirk cameron film FIREPROOF, which looks like it’s about firefighters and that the title would be about FIREPROOFING your home or soul, but it’s actually about marriage and how to make it FIREPROOF. brilliant concept. the tag line is “never leave your partner behind.” again, you’d think it’s about firefighting right? wrong! it’s about marriage. brilliant, i tell you.

i should have loaned that to you guys for an anniversary viewing, but you seem to be flying high sans-kirk cameron. that’s great. congrats. i like the site of your house from the outside and in. (you’d think i meant architecturally, but i was really aiming at FAMILY, as in: i like looking at your family and being a member of it. kirk cameron is really helping me in so many ways.)
